| Step 1: |
Register with the Officials Coordinator (found on Referee Link page,
serveral pages up from here). He will need
to know your Name, Telephone, E-mail Address, Regular Address, Referee Certification
Level, and for refs under 16, your Current Hockey Age Group (so that you
don't get scheduled for any games your age group or above). |
| Step 2: |
Periodically check the Game Sign-Up function on the Referee
Menu or check your Emails for an E-mail from the Scheduler announcing updates
to the schedule for sign-up. |
| Step 3: |
Using the Game Sign-up Screen, review the list of potential
games and press the Select button to get a detail screen that allows you
to sign-up. Fill in Your Name, and Press the Update button. That's it! |
| Step 4: |
The Game Scheduler will review who signed-up for the scheduled
games and select two referees to work each game. Consideration is given
for experience, age of the Ref, age of the teams, travel to the rink more
than once per day, and the number of games a ref has already worked. Once
the Scheduler has selected referees for a game the schedule will be closed
and that game will no longer show up on the Game Sign-up List. |
| Step 5: |
Periodically check the Current Referee Schedule function on
the Referee Menu or check your Emails for an E-mail from the Scheduler announcing
finalization of the schedule. |
| Step 6: |
Check the regular game schedules on this Web Site, on the day of your game to make sure it has not been canceled.
Team managers are supposed to update those schedules. |
| Note: |
If you want to cancel your request to work a game before the
schedule is closed, sign-up again for the game but add the word CANCEL behind
your name. |
